Henry
The Henry Condominiums is a one of a kind building located directly across from the famous Powell’s book store on NW 10th and Couch. Originally built in 2004 this sleek, high end building contains 123 condos standing 15 stories tall. With a variety of floor plans ranging from 750sqft to 2945 sqft this building has “defined” living spaces, hardwood floors, granite countertops and top quality appliances. The Henry was the first project to sell out completely before completion and they did it with nine months to spare. The Henry paved the way in the Pearl District with “green buildings” After meeting all “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design” (LEED) requirements, this building became only the third LEED Gold-certified condominium project in the US. The building uses many recycled materials, extensive use of certified wood, and low-VOC interior finishes and paints. A leader in its field, the Henry uses an air-to-water heat exchange system that collects wasted heat to pre-heat the buildings hot water. This not only saves energy, but lowers costs for condo owners. The Henry was developed by Gerding Edlen, architecture by GBD Architects and built by Hoffman Construction, who really took into consideration a different lifestyle for condo dwellers. With one of the first to have an on-site concierge that greets you, and someone to look after deliveries, dry-cleaning, etc, it gives the owners time to live their life. Located in the Brewery Blocks, the Henry paved the way for upscale condos in the Pearl District.
